    Mental health to be prioritized in Civic Clinics of Mumbai Content Editor: Dr. Rajat Sharma April 1, 2023 at 6:08:48 PM Mental Health 191 civic dispensaries will look out for underlying signs of mental illnesses among patients coming for treatment. BMC public health department, which carried out a month-long training of roughly 350 doctors for this, also, for the first time, appointed two psychiatrists. The BMC programme will be a part of the National Health Mission’s district mental health programme. ‘Manashakti’ clinics establishment is made compulsory at the primary healthcare level. The state health department’s ‘tele-manus’ helpline will also be extended to Mumbai and provide information about psychiatric and counselling aid. Each civic dispensary will prominently display banners mentioning the ‘telemanus’ number (14416). Patients visiting the dispensaries will either be given a questionnaire or asked a series of questions to rule out mental issues such as depression or anxiety. Previous Next

He urged the dignitaries to design large-scale interventions. The statements made by Dr.Mansukh Madaviya are as follows: The global reduction in TB incidence is at 8.3% and the same for India is at 16 % i.e., double-paced. The number of missing TB cases in 2023(0.26million) to were nearly ¼ times of those during 2015(1 million) India has emphasized improving healthcare services under the G-20 presidency through: Digital solution Focusing on One Health and Anti-Microbial resistance Enhancing pharmaceutical capabilities. The Private sector participation was 33% of total TB cases. The initiatives and outreach efforts that helped achieve community participation are : Jan Bhagidhari Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan-1,50,000 Ni-kshay Mitras came forward to support 1 Million TB patients with nutritional supplementation. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra- 38 million people were screened and 1 million were sent for TB testing. ‘TB Mukt Panchayat’ - 5 million courses of TB Preventive Treatment drug, 3HP, and provision of TB services in nearly 1.6 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.     03. 81 cr. people to get free foodgrains for one year under National Food Security Act December 24, 2022 at 4:21:14 AM Poverty alleviation programmes The Union Cabinet on Friday decided to provide free foodgrains to all 81 crore beneficiaries covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) for one year. The beneficiary families which used to pay ₹1 for coarse cereals, ₹2 for wheat and ₹3 for rice per kilogram will now get 35 kg of foodgrains a month free of cost for the next one year, and others will get five kilogram free each month till December 2023. Union Food Minister Piyush Goyal said though the economic situation after the pandemic was normal, a decision was taken to extend the benefits of the Antyodaya Anna Yojana, PMGKAY and the NFSA to more people by merging them.     Central Government Health Services now offer Cashless facilities at select hospitals Content Editor: Ankit Kumar Modi June 3, 2023 at 11:30:00 PM Public health laws and regulations, CGHS, Cashless treatment, Health insurance CGHS beneficiaries were delighted over the recent announcement of cashless treatment facilities at 6 AIIMS in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Jodhpur, Raipur, and Rishikesh. Union Health Ministry exchanged a Memorandum of Agreement between six AIIMS and CGHS to provide : Cashless OPD facilities, Investigations and Inpatient treatment to CGHS beneficiaries including both serving and retired pensioners. CGHS will pay for the health expenditure within 30 days of receipt of the credit bills making the process more efficient, especially for senior citizens. Government plans to increase the number of CGHS-empaneled hospitals and subsequently, incorporate AIIMS New Delhi, PGIMER, and JIPMER into the plan. Previous Next
