  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15, aiming to saturate the benefits of Central Government Schemes across the nation.

  • Newly launched IEC vans are becoming the Centre of the health camps, conducted under this scheme in 203 Gram Panchayats reported a total footfall of over 1,66,000 people in the first week.

  • The major events happening in the camps are:

  1. Ayushman Bharat Cards: Over 33,000 generated and 21,000 physical cards distributed.

  2. TB screening: 41,000 people screened, with more than 4,000 referred to higher Public Health Facilities.

  3. Registration of over 1,400 voluntary Nikshay Mitras, DBT assistance under the Nikshay Poshan Yojana.

  4. Screening for Sickle Cell Disease, Hypertension, and Diabetes.

  • Various states reported successful endeavors under this scheme: Jharkhand's sickle cell screening initiative, Jammu and Kashmir's coordination in harsh winter conditions, awareness activities and community engagements in many states.

  • The health camp facilitated easy identification of individuals suspected of various diseases and their social needs.
