• UNICEF has issued an emergency tender for mpox vaccines in collaboration with the Gavi Vaccine Alliance, Africa CDC, and WHO.

• Depending on manufacturers' production capacity, agreements can be made for up to 12 million doses through 2025.

• UNICEF will set up conditional supply agreements with vaccine manufacturers, allowing for immediate purchase and shipment of vaccines once financing, demand, readiness, and regulatory requirements are confirmed.

• The WHO declared mpox a global public health emergency in August due to an outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo that spread to neighboring countries.
