  • Union Minister Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani recently launched the Anganwadi Protocol for Divyang Children.

  • This protocol, part of the POSHAN Abhiyan, adopts a three-step approach: 

  1. Screening for Early Disability Signs

  2. Community Inclusion, and 

  3. Referral support through ASHA/ANM/ RBSK teams.

  • It addresses education and nutrition needs, providing Swavlamban Cards for empowerment.

  • This protocol marks a significant stride in creating a nurturing environment for divyang children, fostering inclusion, and celebrating diversity.
