• The National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX) was launched under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) to streamline and facilitate the exchange of claims-related information among healthcare and health insurance stakeholders.

• NHCX will be the hub for all health-related claims, reducing hospital administrative load.

• This will serve as a portal for exchanging health claim-related information among insurers, hospitals, and beneficiaries, thereby speeding up the claim process.

• As of July 21, 2024, 34 insurers and third-party administrators are live on the portal, and 300 hospitals are preparing to start the process.

• This portal aims to improve the efficiency and transparency of healthcare claims.
