  • The World Health Organization (WHO), Human Reproduction Program (HRP), and the European Parliamentary Forum (EPF) for Sexual and Reproductive Rights agreed upon improving policies aligned with sexual and reproductive health.

  • A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU ) was signed for the same.

  • WHO and HRP, in partnership with EPF, acknowledge the significance of parliamentarians in:

  1. Strengthening the existing policies 

  2. Improving the aspects of legislation, advocacy, and accountability. 

  • The areas to be addressed are: 

  1. Technical support  

  2. Advocacy 

  3. Capacity building 

  • This will help to promote and protect evidence-based rules and regulations

  •  And also aid to create awareness about sexual and reproductive health.
