• ABHA's Scan and Share service, launched in October 2022 under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), streamlines patient registration. 

• Patients simply scan a QR code at OPD counters, automatically sharing their ABHA profile for registration.

• The benefits of this Scan and Share service includes: 

1. Eliminates long queues, which is especially helpful for vulnerable groups.

2. Faster and more efficient registration process.

3. Secure way to share patient information.

• Over three crore OPD registrations have been completed using Scan and Share, now operational in over 5435 healthcare facilities across 35 states.

• The ABDM Public Dashboard shows high usage in AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Raipur, and Bhubaneshwar.

• Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Jammu & Kashmir are leading the way in adopting Scan and Share.

• In the future, Scan and Share will be implemented at pharmacy counters and laboratories. 

• New services like "Scan and Send" (sharing health records) and "Scan and Pay" (making payments) are planned to streamline healthcare processes further.
