The Minister directed the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization(CDSCO) to develop roadmap with timelines including the following:
Need for a World class regulatory framework to enhance the reputation of India as ‘Pharmacy of the World’.
Focus on transparency in procedures of Central Drugs Standard Control Organization(CDSCO) to ensure High quality products
Continuous dialogue with the industry by CDSCO to address challenges and support compliance with quality standards.
Support for Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises in issues faced to strengthen their capacity and product quality
Collaboration with state regulatory bodies to integrate state practices with central quality standards for upgrading good manufacturing practices.
Technical upgradation and uniformity in drug quality for exports.
