The district's maternal mortality rate decreased by 72.37 percent to 89.79 per 100,000 live births, which is less than half the Assam average of 205. Similarly, infant mortality fell by 30.56 percent to 15.97 per 1,000 live births.
In addition to vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, and fish, schools are also cultivating fungi for the midday meals served to students.
