The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare and the Managing Director of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India inaugurated the Millets Experience Centre (MEC) on 28th April 2023.  

To make India the "Global hub" for Millet, marking 2023 as the International Year of Millets, the MEC situated at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi, would serve as a hub to create awareness about millet-based products and encourage the people in India and the international tourists visiting India to adopt Millet-centric diets.
