  • The  Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH) was the focus of the G20 Health Minister's Meeting on August 19, 2023.

  • Dr. Tedros emphasized the importance of digital health in enabling equity in health care across countries, leaving no one behind.

  • GIDH will be a Network of Networks managed by WHO under the pillars of:

  1. Country Needs Tracker

  2. Country Resource portal Transformation toolbox Convening and Knowledge exchange.

  • It aims:

  1. To put the "Global Strategy on Digital Health" into existence

  2. Support best practices standards by developing and strengthening systems

  3. Facilitate the management of an individual country's digital health transformation journey.
