  • Ayushman Bharath was launched in 2018 to ensure universal health coverage and reduce out-of-pocket expenditures.

  • It was launched with the following components:

  1. Ayushman Arogya Mandirs

  2. AB-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

  • Latest findings as per the AAM Portal:

  1. Women account for 48% of the total authorized hospital admissions and hold 49% of the total Ayushman cards made under the AB PM-JAY.

  2. A total of 26,901 hospitals, including 11,813 private hospitals, have been empaneled under AB PM-JAY to provide healthcare services to scheme beneficiaries.

  • Screening of NCDs has been conducted as follows:

  1. Hypertension- 55.66 crores

  2. Diabetes-4848.44 crores

  3. Oral Cancer- 32.80 crores

  4. Cervical cancer- 14.90 crores
