According to member (Health), NITI Aayog, V.K. Paul, this change will assist AYUSH departments in AIIMS in becoming departments of Integrated Medicine throughout the entire AIIMS infrastructure in India.  

The Memorandum of Agreement(MoA) will also look at how the two organisations may work together to increase their research capacities and conduct more integrative health research.   

For the duration of the visit, joint research project, or programme, scholars, trainees, researchers, and faculty members of the organisation will also have access to advanced instrumentation systems and other infrastructural facilities. 

The Ministry of AYUSH and ICMR will establish a collaborative working group, which will meet once every three months to discuss potential areas of future cooperation and to work on deliverables.
