  • Despite its promise, challenges like high costs, limited data inclusivity, and disparities in health care resources persist. 

  • The panel emphasized democratizing AI through open platforms, public-private collaborations, and ethical oversight. 

  • Initiatives like the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource pilot and AI “nutrition labels” aim to expand access and transparency. 

  • Panelists called for targeted training on AI ethics and applications to empower public health professionals and stressed the need for a cohesive strategy to ensure equitable and effective AI integration in health care systems.
