From Vision to Action: India's Priorities at the SCO Health Ministers Meet

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a Eurasian political, economic, international security, and defence organization representing 42% of the world's population, 22% of its land area, and contributing 20% of the global GDP.
It comprises eight Member States (China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan).
India holds the Presidency of the SCO for 2022-23 and chaired the virtually-held sixth session of the Health Ministers meeting of the Shanghai Corporation Organization (SCO) member states.
The focus remained on the following topics:-
Global Health Architecture for Health Emergency Prevention, Preparedness, and Response.
Digital Health: Strengthening National Monitoring and Surveillance Systems.
Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration for Mitigating the Burden of Non-Communicable Diseases.
Enhancing Access to Affordable and Quality Healthcare through Medical Value Travel.
