  • The Union Health Minister, Dr. Mandaviya, assessed various states' prevention and control methods for vector-borne diseases before rainy seasons. 

  • The primary focus will be to decrease the disease burden via 

             ●        Pre-empting medical needs and equipping them sufficiently beforehand

             ●        Proper use of budget for implementation of infrastructure 

             ●        Precautionary measures to limit vector breeding 

             ●        Health education and awareness campaigns among the community. 

  • Ayushman Bharat – HWCs were suggested to be used for disease management and community involvement. 

  • Policies provided by NCVBDC regarding the seasonal outbreaks of vector-borne diseases provide guidelines for the states for prevention and control.
