• NITI Aayog launched a new campaign ‘Sampoornata Abhiyan’ from 4th July – 30th September 2024.

• It aims to achieve saturation of 6 key indicators in 112 Aspirational Districts and 500 Aspirational Blocks.

• District (KPI’s) Key Performance Indicators identified are:

1. Antenatal Care registration

2. Supplementary Nutrition for pregnant women

3. Child immunization

4. Soil Health Cards distribution

5. Functional electricity in schools

6. Timely textbook provision in schools

• Block KPIs:

1. Antenatal Care registration

2. Diabetes and Hypertension screening

3. Supplementary Nutrition for pregnant women

4. Soil Health Cards generation

5. Revolving Fund for SHGs

• The Implementation of this campaign ensuring active community participation is planned via:

1. 3-month Action Plan

2. Monthly progress tracking

3. Awareness campaigns

4. Monitoring visits

• The Aspirational Districts Programme (2018) and Aspirational Blocks Programme (2023) target rapid development and service saturation in backward areas across health, nutrition, education, and infrastructure.

• NITI Aayog, with Central Ministries and State Governments, aims to enhance planning, implementation, and sustainable service delivery in Districts and Blocks
