The US anticipates a 45 % increase in the population aged 75 and above, growing from 17 million to nearly 25 million.

A recent study conducted by Harvard University's Joint Center for Housing Studies warns that the country's services are inadequate to deal with this looming crisis.

The elderly face numerous challenges ranging from - financial struggles, and lack of housing facilities to disease challenges.

About 11.2 million older individuals were cost burdened in 2021. Federal housing assistance which provides housing and aids covers only a third of the eligible renters above 62 years. More innovative solutions are needed to address age specific concerns.
