AFMC honoured with the Rashtrapati ka Nishan to mark its Plantinum Jubliee

The President or a military commander authorized by the President preside over the President's Colour award ceremony. These ceremonies are normally preceded by a ceremonial parade in the presence of active and retired military commanders from the formation. Following the reception of full military colors by the presiding officer, the colors are placed on an altar made of drums. A Sarva Dharma Prarthana, an all-faith prayer service led by the Army's religious leaders. Religious teachers - pandits, maulavis, priests, and granthis is held to sanctify the flag and pray for all the troops in training. The presiding officer then bestows the colors to a Nishan Adhikari. This unique flag, presented by the President, who is also the supreme commander of the armed forces, represents the AFMC's remarkable history and devotion to national security.
